Kyoto Alumni Association Malaysia (Persatuan Alumni Kyoto Malaysia, MYKYOTO) is an organization formally established in 2016, although it has been initiated earlier in 2011. MYKYOTO was officially registered with Registrar of Society (ROS) on 20th January 2016. Membership in the association is open to all who have formally attended Kyoto University in any program as well as those who have resided or attended universities in Kyoto-Kansai area.
The main objectives of the association are to provide a networking platform for research linkages, exchange of ideas, organization of educational and social activities, and the promotion of international understanding and national unity.
MYKYOTO plans and implements various programs that bring together Malaysian alumni of Kyoto Universities, as well as Japanese citizens in Malaysia. It also works closely with its partner, “Dark Blue no Kai” (an association of Japanese Kyoto University graduates residing in Malaysia).
